We made a claim with our insurance company for damages from Hurricane Ian. Being retired we were hoping for a settlement, but instead the company declared it was leaving the state and would not renew policies. So, we considered a roof product that might extend the life. The representative of the product said sorry you need a new roof. He put me in touch with Bear Legal Solutions. I was concerned about legal cost and risk, but Bear Legal Solutions said I won't get paid unless you get paid, and I was looking at zero from the insurance company. By now the insurance company was in bankruptcy and I was more unsure so at 79 I went back to work to cover the costs if this fell through. The gentleman who advised I talk with Bear also worked with me on the roof evaluation, measurements and cost for the legal claim. By working together, a case was made to FIGA on the roof and now after several negotiations with FIGA, finally I am going to have a new roof. Bear Legal Solutions personnel know how to get a claim resolved on your roof. They kept me informed of offers to accept or decline and consequences, allowed my interaction and concerns about an offer to be expressed back to FIGA and in a manner that allows for a positive result. One key area, Bear Legal never lost sight of the fact the goal was to get enough money to cover payment for the roof and that is because he worked with the roofer to get real numbers and know a real target to be met.
